Information in e-society

This programme lasts three years and is completed with bachelor diploma.  Undergraduates acquire both general knowledge for theoretical reflections on processes taking place in information society and knowledge-based economy as well as knowledge and practical skills regarding opportunities of using specialist information and communication technologies and community tools.  Undergraduates know techniques of organizing and creating information resources, have knowledge on using information technologies in the development of services system as well as knowledge on using information and communication technologies.  In particular, undergraduates acquire knowledge on all types of sources of information, skills of searching information efficiently and effectively, selecting information and assessing its quality, creating sources and resources of information, implementing digital tools, knowing methods of working with information users and recipients of services within public and private sectors, organizing and promoting them. Undergraduates become also familiar with legal solutions concerning such sectors.  

Undergraduates acquire professional knowledge and competence in one of the three specialist modules: information in administration and economy, information in culture and media, information in science and education. Undergraduates are prepared to work in public administration, business, social and political organisations, foundations, associations, media, cultural institutions, scientific and educational institutions and other institutions dealing with planning and carrying out information policy, collecting, processing and organising electronic information.
