Historical tourism
Historical tourism completes a vast education offer of higher education institutions. It is worth emphasizing that this is an extraordinary programme. An important feature of the programme curriculum of historical tourism is the fact that it includes courses required at state exams for travel and tourist guides as well as courses covering practical issues relevant in touroperator's work. As a result, universally prepared professionals appear on the tourism labour market. Undergraduates acquire broad knowledge within Polish and general history, especially culture, arts, history and contemporary trends in tourism development. Programme curriculum includes taking exam for getting a camp tutor licence or camp manager licence. Apart from the B.A. degree, an undergraduate receives a certificate of completing a tourist guide course (free of charge) that authorizes to take a professional exam in any Marshall Office.
