Media production
(a full-time, first-cycle studies)
Media Production studies are especially designed for people whose work revolves around electronic media or related fields (press, advertisement, marketing, public relations) and for those who wish to focus on organization and management of new interactive media projects in the future. Particular emphasis in the programme of studies is placed on developing practical skills, which takes place not only during classes but mainly through various training courses, traineeships, and work placements.
Students of Media Production studies shall be trained in production and edition of programmes on many communication platforms, with particular focus on the potential of new communication technologies. Students shall, inter alia, gain theoretical knowledge in basic spheres of social sciences, humanities, and economics: psychology, sociology, culture, literature, art, law, economics, new communication technologies, and audiovisual art. Nevertheless, classes focusing on practical skills remain the most important aspect of Media Production studies. They allow the graduate to be well-versed in the world of creating digital media reality through such means as creative programming, multimedia applications development, advertising animations development, journalistic materials preparation for multiple platforms, etc.
