Students holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree may enroll in extension /continuing education programs

Commodity Science
Commodity Science, also known as the science of commodity and service quality, is considered a discipline bridging economics and production technologies and processes. The program’s graduates can find employment as specialists in commodity and service quality control, technological process quality control, and environmental control.
The Faculty provides education within the major field of study of Commodity Science on the 1st cycle full-time engineering studies lasting 3.5 years, the 2nd cycle full-time studies which last 1.5 years and end with the professional degree of M.Sc. in a given field, 4-year extramural engineering studies and 2 year extramural studies that end with M.Sc. degree. Subjects required in the recruitment procedure are: foreign language together with one subject optionally chosen from the following: Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Information Technology, Geography, Physics and Astronomy, Civics.

Studies at The Faculty of Commodity Science have an interdisciplinary character combining natural sciences with legal and economic knowledge. The studies educate students in the fields of organisation, products quality control and protection, services, state and international turnover, including customs. Graduates are likely to find work as commodity science specialists, quality managers at operational level in production or trade plants, in agriculture, on stock exchange, in customs and control offices. They are well prepared for standardisation and certification jobs as well as introducing quality control systems.
