Hippology and horse riding
Hippology and Horse Riding is the first such program in Poland. Hippology is the study of horses. Establishing such a program was possible thanks to our many years of experience gained while offering a similar specialization. In fact, the University of Life Sciences in Lublin was the first one in Poland to offer such a course.
Classes take place at the University Equestrian Centre with the use of sport horses owned by the Department of Horse Breeding and Use as well as with the use of Felin Pony bred at the University. Furthermore, classes have the form of field trips to stud farms, horse racing tracks and other horse breeding and use centers.
Professional prospects:
1st degree studies provide graduates with qualifications allowing for running business activity in the area of horse breeding and use. Moreover, they allow for work at the horse breeding and use centers, including stud farms, stallion farms, horse riding centers, Polish horse breeders associations, institutions dealing with horse maintenance and use, namely horse racing tracks, horse riding associations, horse fodder manufacturers, producers of equipment and carriages, farms, horse transport companies.
2nd degree studies provide graduates with qualifications allowing for running business activity in the area of horse breeding and use. In addition to the above employment opportunities, 2nd degree graduates – as the result of completing specialist courses – may work at non-invasive breeding centers and in agriculture.
