PRACTICAL STUDIES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS AND INNOVATION IN LUBLIN

In order to meet labor market demands and equip students with education adequate to employers expectations, University of Economics and Innovation leads practical studies, which curriculums were developed in cooperation with entrepreneurs.

1.Practical studies from 2013/2014 academic year:

  • Public health – specialty: medical assistant and care for elderly – Io studies
  • Computer science – specialty: software engineering – engineering Io studies
  • Logistics – specialty: , engineering Io studies

2.Placements with coaching

In order to deepen theoretical knowledge and gain practical experience, necessary at work, students serve an apprenticeship in companies and institutions, connected with advisory/coaching. Total duration of placement is 7 months (2 times during studies, 14 weeks each). Placements are organized in two cycles during studies: after 1st and 2nd year of studies. Students serve apprenticeships in companies which professional profile comply with the field of studies.

INNOVATIVE WSEI CAREERS OFFICE

WSEI posses in its offer Career Office. The aim of the Office is to help students and graduates of WSEI in job seeking, starting own businesses, establishing relations between future employers and WSEI students.

WSEI Careers Office fields of activity:

  • Education advisory for students, including giving help for WSEI students and graduates in choosing proper career path,
  • Periodical trainings and workshops for students, aiming at gaining proper qualifications and vocational experiences by students,
  • Giving individual help connected with enterprise recruitment process,
  • Looking for and organizing apprenticeships and practices for WSEI students,
  • Cooperation with entrepreneurs concerning labor market diagnosis and leading database of situations vacant for WSEI graduates.

WSEI SCIENTIFIC-DIDACTIC LABORATORIES

WSEI students have to their disposal modern scientific-didactic laboratories, where they can not only deepen their knowledge and familiarize practically with the technique but also lead scientific research under guidance of academics and researchers. Centre for Computerization and Transport Security creates modern complex of WSEI laboratories, that includes 11 modern laboratories of: transport, computer science and psychology of transport, equipped with unique scientific and research devices, dedicated to realization of research projects and generating innovative solutions for industry and economy.

  1. Laboratory for research on material tenacity and mechanics of transport means damage
  2. Computer laboratory for construction simulation
  3. Laboratory for fast prototyping and reproduction of driveline elements
  4. Laboratory for vibroacoustic diagnosis of transport means
  5. Laboratory for network services security
  6. Laboratory for multimedia technologies
  7. Laboratory for multimedia applications creation
  8. Research laboratory for audio-video recordings realization
  9. Laboratory for the quality of IP network services
  10. Laboratory for audiovisual network systems
  11. Psychology laboratory for drivers examination
